• What we'll do
In 2017 an all-woman crew sailed around the whole of the British Isles, sampling the waters for plastics and toxics to highlight the issue of plastic pollution and our part in it. At this event we will be screening the eXXpedition Sky Ocean Rescue documentary (45 mins), followed by a Q&A panel discussion between eXXpedition crew members and an artist working with marine debris. The panel will discuss approaches to tackling the damage caused to the world’s oceans by plastics and associated chemicals, and talk about their experiences of being a women in STEM.
