Quantum Physics discussion

I've set a date and location for our discussion of quantum physics as follows.

Douglass-Truth Library
2300 E Yesler Way, Seattle, WA (map)

Sun Jan 22

2:00 PM

In addition to the books I listed in the meetup description itself, I have also been reading parts of "Quantum Mechanics, Concepts and Applications" which gives the detailed mathematics. I've also been enjoying reading http://motls.blogspot.com/, which is written by a string theorist and includes several posts explaining his view on the various misconceptions out there about quantum physics (I was finally able to grasp most of the quantum eraser experiment thanks to him). Between those, I've gotten a better appreciation of the implications of the various experiments for our understanding of the nature of reality. If people are interested I can give a presentation of what I've found.

There have also been a couple of offers from people with a Ph.D. in physics to give an introduction. If one of you is still interested doing that on the date above, or a later date, please contact contact me directly.
