Announcing a new Meetup for The San Antonio Science Caf?!

What: Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day

When: November 7,[masked]:00 AM

Blue Star Brewing Co
1414 S Alamo St
San Antonio, TX 78210

This will be an excellent follow up to our last meetup held at Freetail Brewing when Markus Haas, president of the Bexar Brewers homebrew club, spoke to us about the science of making beer.

MEETUP FOR LUNCH AT 12:30 WITH MEMBERS OF THE SAN ANTONIO SCIENCE CAFE GROUP. We are trying to get tables reserved, but if that is not possible, gather outside the front door (under covered area by patio) to discuss a game plan.

Each year on the first Saturday in November, homebrewers around the world are encouraged to invite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day and brew a batch of beer together. Come out and be a part of the 11th annual Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day! Your curiosity is all you need to bring.

The Blue Star Brewery is hosting this event from 10 am to about 5 pm. You are welcome to come and go as you please. The event is free. There will be at least 8 brewers out in the parking lot of the Blue Star starting and stopping at various times and brewing different kinds of beer. Feel free to take a lawn chair if you don't want to stand all day. Several members of the Bexar Brewers homebrew club will be there for those of you who are interested in getting involved in the club. Your homebrewing or fermentation science questions will be welcomed by experienced brewers.
