TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP - Apr 2017 - NOW FULLY BOOKED

  • Everest Base Camp, Kathmandhu

    Kathmandhu, Lukla (map)

    0.000000 0.000000

  • This trip is once in a lifetime and will involve Trekking to Everest Base Camp in the Nepalese Himalayas at just under 18,000 feet in height (5380m). This is no mean undertaking and serious consideration needs to be given before taking on this trip. The high altitude can affect your ability to trek and as we would be walking from between 4 and 7 hours on many of the days, is a serious undertaking. We will fly into Lukla at 9,300 ft (2845m) and trek from there.
The trip will depart from Edinburgh or Glasgow or you can fly from your nearest airport if preferred. Please note UK airports only. The cost for this Trek is £1105 excluding food and tips to guides/porters which is an expectation by them on this trek and excluding International Flights.  The price does however include the internal flights from Kathmandu to Lukla where the trek commences at around 9000ft and we trek to Everest Base Camp at 18000ft. We will use qualified Guides and a well established trekking company known for their expertise and also for high reviews from previous EBC'ers. Main luggage will be carried by Sherpa Porters and/or Yaks.
This is a once in a lifetime trip and although tough at times, will leave everlasting memories at this immense achievement! The plan is to depart In April and travel into May. This makes for a more interesting EBC group of people as this is around the time the summiting teams are planning their ascent to the top. Please think carefully before RSVP'ing and be prepared to plan and prepare your fitness levels accordingly prior to the departure.
I have 7 people including myself so far and the company have another 5 confirmed.  The group will have a maximum of 16. Meanwhile please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Meetup only allow me to post a trip with a maximum of 14 days - the actual length of this trip is  20 days including flying time and you are back to the UK on the 21st Day.  Please be aware of this. many thanks.

ACTUAL DATES OF THIS TRIP IS:

    27TH APRIL UNTIL 15/16th MAY 2017

Hi Abigail, Laura, Sunny and Esin
I have two itineraries for the Everest Base Camp trip and I would like to email them to you as they contain a PDF link which I cannot send here. Can you please message me and let me know your email addresses asap? We are going to choose and get booked for this by Friday or Saturday this week at the latest to take advantage of a sale on the flights with great prices that will end by the 30th July. If this is too soon for you to book then you can book sometime next week or later although there is a chance the flight will be slightly higher and also that availability on the flights with the rest of the group may go, in which case you could be flying separately but we can meet up in Kathmandu if that is the case so no massive problems there :-)
I look forward to hearing from you.
    many thanks
    Marisa

Just to add a small note, it may not be 14 and could also be a group of 8 or 9, it doesn't need 14 to go ahead.
