What do you write? What are you looking for in a women writers group?

Memoir and non-fiction and dabble in poetry. Looking for other women who love to write and support their fellow women writers. Always looking for good speakers who can enhance my women writers group.

What other writers groups do you belong to? Are you fairly new to the world of writing?

Phoenix Writers Club, the Ariziona Authors Association, the Willamette Writers Club, Oregon. I have been writing since high school - or 40 plus years ago. I write something almost daily. The writer's life is where I am today and I am grateful.

Author - Three Husbands and a Thousand Boyfriends and Gifts of Sisterhood - journey from grief to gratitude - both memoir. President of SSWW, mentor to writers. I love to read and write book reviews, speak on writing topics and advocate for women.

What Patricia L. B. is saying about this Meetup Group

I started the group 12 years ago and now have 70 members - this is a blessing. We are all levels of writers and all genres, and half of the women are published. I started the group with the idea that maybe some women in the Scottsdale area would like to talk about their work with other women. That happened easily, over and over again, and women have told other women, and keep doing that monthly. now the members are from all over the Valley. And we have several Critique groups too. Also, the speakers keep getting better and ask to come back and speak again. I have so many thank you notes and letters of appreciation I feel almost selfish at times, but I am grateful for this opportunity to be of service to the women who have chosen to be a part of this wonderful, energetic and professional group - we rock! The women of SSWW make this group grow and flourish - thank you ladies. If you are a woman writer, you are welcome to join us!
