We are the Scouting Alumni and Friends program for the Nashua Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America (http://nashuavalleybsa.org) in Central Massachusetts. Our vision is to create a community of Scouts for life. We welcome past and present Scouts, their families, spouses, and partners. Our purpose is to guide our members through personal and professional development, and to provide service to the local Scouting program.
Scouting was a wonderful experience for many of us in our youth. It created unbreakable and timeless bonds with our fellow Scouts. Summer camp challenged us, forged our self confidence, and molded us into leaders. The ideals of the Scout Oath and Scout Law inspired us to always be better than who we were. We developed a strength of character that transformed us into the good men and women we are today.
Scouting for Adults aims to create a community that embraces these values. We will rekindle old Scouting friendships and create new ones. We welcome networking, and mentoring of new adults (and old ones) in personal and professional matters. Of course, we will socialize and have fun at local watering holes, and host family events.
Our next “urban cracker barrel” is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2018 at a soon-to-be-determined location from 5pm to 8pm.
Yours in Scouting, Ira Wolf Alumni Chair Nashua Valley Council, BSA
