like i mentioned to Amanda we dont always have the pleasure of starting a project from crash. I would like to know from this crowd if u have tried to implement agile midstream and what kind of success have u had

kelly - i am interested in your adoption plan. I also think that the challenges u faced bringing newbies to agile methodology is the same challenges u face with any green crowd. so it would b informative to hear your story

I've implemented Agile mid-project as well, and can say that it was successful. With the right change management techniques, training, and coaching, the teams were able to grasp and hold onto it. I'm currently at a client where I am brought in to transform the organization to Agile. No projects were starting new, so we had to start mid-project. This meant that we did have to take additional time to train mid-project, scrub the backlog, write valuable user stories, begin ceremonies that weren't there before, and start changing the mind shift of team members to executives. It's a daunting task, but the value of Agile can be seen even when starting mid-project. I also agree with Kelly that a plan is crucial; I have an adoption plan and a transformation plan that is visible to everyone.

As a newbie I thought it was very informational and instructive to hear real-life situations described. I got a general idea of the kinds of issues/concerns/benefits of Agile v. Waterfall. Good intro!
