UNESCO Geopark - Pak Lap to Sai Kung (1 way)

Location image of event venue

Sai Kung is beautiful and world-renowned. As a sea kayaking destination, it's as good as it gets. This is a classic Hong Kong sea kayak trip from the outer islands to

Amazing islands and possibly paddling through sea caves and tunnels (weather and swell dependent).
Remote beaches and coral reefs to swim and snorkel.
The geological phenomena called volcanic tuff, the reason for our Global Geopark.

Today we depart Pak Lap - the last sheltered bay before the open waters of the South China Sea. Depending on wind and sea conditions we can possibly attempt to kayak around Bluff or Basalt Islands - if not, we will take the more sheltered route along the coast of High Island.

We will stop regularly at deserted beaches and try snorkelling over at least 1 of the many coral reefs (BYO snorkel & goggles)

Our final destination is Sai Kung, therefore, making the journey through the breadth of Shelter bay. Beginners are welcome ONLY IF they have completed the basic kayak control course so that they do not hold up the more experienced members of the group.
