If you have wanted to take your photography passion and turn it into a full time career but not sure where to start this workshop is for you! If you are currently a part-time photography professional but are stuck doing discount and free sessions - this workshop is for you! And if you are currently getting all of your branding and marketing materials together and surprised / overwhelmed by the cost of it all ....... again this workshop is for you!

This is a second offering on Wednesday night since the Tuesday night class filled so quickly and developed a waitlist. I use to offer this class for 15 - 20 people, but some people had requested a smaller size. So we are trying that out here :)

Join me on a jam packed two hour journey of self discovery. I will tell you my mistakes and what I learned from them - you will save TONS of time and HUGE amounts of money when setting up your photography business or expanding it. I have made the mistakes so you don't have to.

  • Learn how to get a inexpensive yet creative web-site, blog and logo.
  • The importance of branding and how to do it right the first time.
  • Great marketing ideas for whatever genre you are pursuing - children, families, weddings, seniors, commercial.
  • Selling without a studio.
  • Sure fire (non-pushy) up selling techniques.
  • Social Media and how to utilize it to it's fullest.

PLUS - I will send you the entire workshop in digital form with all of the links and resources that we cover in class (currently more than 50 links). You will also receive my contracts, policies and model releases. As well as a few marketing templates to get you started.

*My expertise is in family and children's photography with a bit in the Senior markets as well, so I will be speaking mostly about that with a bit of wedding photography insight as well. The workbook contains tips and links for various genres of photography - wedding, children, family, senior, stock, landscape, food and commercial.

Classes will be limited to 7 photographers, and sharing of collective knowledge is encouraged.

We encourage participants to attend since so much information is shared, however if your schedule does not permit attendance I am happy to send you the 50 page workbook instead.

Promotional pricing for the meetup group is $79

******Please e-mail me and I will send you a invoice.

DO NOT pay through this site as it goes to Michael not me. Thanks :)

Payment is required to reserve your spot.

I attended Nicki's Hobby to Business Workshop and I have to say, she's fantastic.

I learned a lot and the insights she showed me, definitely lead up to a lot of great marketing techniques for my business. The workshop had about 15 - 20 participants and all of us were given equal opportunity to interact and question. We were provided with excellent responses. Nicki's friend Jason Tanaka, a professional wedding photographer also helped a lot in giving us valuable tips.

Thank you Nicki for being so awesome and delivering as promised !

****** Please note that this will take place in a security building. I will be at the front door at 5:50 to let you in an stay until 6:05. After this time there will be no access to the building.

I like to come, but I can't guarantee being there on time with traffic the way it is. Will you offer this at some other venue?
