Using Permaculture Design Methods to Design Your Permaculture Lifestyle
Want to design your life to be more in line with your ecological values? Come learn the tools and get inspired by Jonathan Bates and Megan Barber of Food Forest Farm.
During this 3-hour workshop, we'll use permaculture design principles to work on setting up our whole lives in ways that meet our needs while improving ecosystem health. Together, we'll look at livelihoods, food, transport, shelter, culture, community, spirit, and more. You'll get started creating a personal/family vision statement, taking stock of where your life is at right now, designing your life, putting elements of the design in place, and setting up a system for regularly evaluating your life design.
Sliding Scale price of $25-40. Deposit of $10 needed here to hold your space. Check options available by request if you can't do paypal!
Our Presenters: Jonathan Bates & Megan Barber
A few years ago, presenters Jonathan Bates (co-author of Paradise Lot) and Megan Barber spent an evening creating a shared vision statement that has continued to inspire and guide their lives ever since. Since beginning their own whole life design process, Jonathan and Meg have taken the leap of leaving full-time jobs; started their own businesses (including Food Forest Farm, a permaculture nursery and educational services business); figured out a way to both work part-time and share child care; and enjoyed co-owning a duplex with friends, including sharing an edible forest garden, tools, meals, and laughs. They look forward to sharing tools and tips and gaining and giving inspiration in this upcoming Whole Life Design Workshop.
