Perennial Vegetables Introduction

Perennial vegetables are an essential part of many permaculture systems. They will grow where annuals can't, they often produce with a minimum of inputs and they are ready for harvest at times when annuals aren't, to name a few of their myriad benefits.

In this class Aaron Parker of Edgewood Nursery will introduce you to 20+ species of perennial veggies that grow well in our climate. Aaron helped bring Stephen Barstow here last Fall and now is coming back to tell us what he (Aaron) has been working on right in Maine!

Aaron operates Edgewood Nursery in Falmouth, Maine which specializes in unusual edible plants, medicinal herbs, perennial vegetables and permaculture plants. He has given talks and classes throughout New England on edible landscaping, seed saving, perennial vegetables, and tree crops.

COST: sliding scale of $15-30. A nonrefundable deposit of $10 is required to reserve your space.
