What we're about

Seacoast Nature Connection brings people together to build our knowledge of the beautiful natural places nearby and share the skills needed to interact meaningfully with them. Events will consist of guided nature walks through local landscapes and land-based skill shares focused on individual and community resilience. From the experienced naturalist to the simply nature curious, from youngster to elder all are welcome.

Guided Nature Walk - Fuller Forest Preserve

Bartlett Road

Join Educator & Naturalist Ryan Busby for an exploration of York Land Trust's Fuller Forest Preserve, as he shares techniques for awakening your senses to the living landscape. Wildlife tracking, bird language, pattern recognition and natural movement are just some of the topics that could come up on the walk. When we begin to see the subtle patterns and behaviors on our landscapes as clues we can unlock the mysteries of nature and engage fully as resourceful and resilient people and communities. Our ancestors learned these skills at an early age. We can regain them and deepen our connection to the world around us. You'll leave having learned something new about yourself, the landscape and your connection to it. See you on the trail!

The distance of this walk will depend on weather and trail conditions, but could be as short as 1 mile or as long as 3 miles. The terrain is rolling with some moderate inclines and mostly flat ground.

This event is for adults and children 10+ years of age. Please do not bring your dog as they can disrupt the group and the wildlife around us.
