Getting together to Walkabout the greater seacoast areas of Southern Maine, New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Focusing on leisurely Walkabouts of two to three hours plus or minus, along the coast and/or in the woods, with the option of breaking bread together and sharing light-hearted conversation from time-to-time after the walkabout. peace.

" Easy" Wells Reserve at Laudholm & Wells Beach Walkabout

Wells Reserve at Laudholm

ARRIVAL: by 8:15am please. Walkabout begins promptly at 8:30am. My cell phone #:[masked]. Friendly Reminder: NO Pets Please. PARKING: In main lot; $5 suggested fee. WALKABOUT: VARIOUS TRAILS - In and Out; ~5.5 - 6 miles, ~2.5+/- hours , depending on trail conditions. Out and around the woods and beach areas. Alltrails.com rating: "Easy". Walkabout includes wide paths and beach area. Participants should be comfortable (have experience) covering ~5.5 - 6+ miles over the course of ~2.5 +/- hours on Easy Terrain AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, allowing for occasional stops to view the scenery/water & snack break/etc. See the Trail *basics at ALLTRAILS LINK: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/maine/barrier-beach-trail-and-laird-norton-trail-loop TRAIL CONDITIONS: Spring - trails have dead leave cover over stones, rocks & roots; may have some standing water and/or mud. Weather Conditions: Spring - check weather 12-18 hours prior to event. *inclement weather MAY cancel event; would make decision with at least 18 hour advance notice. PREPAREDNESS: 1. Physically fit to meet demands of length and duration of walkabout. {Moderate Hike, Moderate Trail Conditions, Moderate Length} 2. Proper attire to be comfortable in weather forecast conditions. {Water proof boots with good traction} {Carry-pack optional} 3. Proper nourishment. {Water required, suggested 2.0 - 3.0 liters +/-: Snack at your discretion} 4. No intel on "comfort stations". {carry in/carry out requirement on all trash}.
