What we're about

"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation."

- Plato

Seacoast Social Gamers is a social networking community for the NH Seacoast area. We'll get together and do all kinds of fun activities as a way to socialize and meet other people. All ages are welcome.
While we may be inclined take the occasional field trip or two, most of our events will be on or around the 108 Corridor between Exeter and Dover.

The games we play will skew mostly towards card, party and trivia games, as I've found that they are the best way to have fun and meet people. Of course, if you want to bring something more strategic, that's cool too! When the weather is good we'll also play outdoor games and sports too -- like miniature golf, bocce, geocaching and more! And sometimes, we'll leave the boardgames at home and go to social events.

What to bring? Here are some ideas:

Playing cards (we love playing Hearts, Spades and Bridge!), Cribbage, Scattergories, Telestrations, Apples to Apples, Cards Against Humanity, Pandemic, Pictionary, Have You Ever?, Settlers of Catan, Exploding Kittens… or bring something new for us to try!

As for me -- I've been a part of Meetup for nearly 15 years, and have organized nearly 200 events in the Greater Boston area. Most of my experience is from Boston Cards and Conversation ( http://meetup.com/BostonCards ), which I created in 2009, but I'm proud of the "Mega Game Nites" I organized on a semi-regular basis in Boston. Here are some pictures from our 10th MGN: https://www.meetup.com/BostonCards/photos/all_photos/?photoAlbumId=5644172

So with your games and my experience we can make this happen :) So come join us -- you're going to have a great time.
