Code for the Kingdom, a Leadership Network hackathon initiative, convenes bright entrepreneurs and technologists to use their gifts to advance the Gospel through the creation of new technologies addressing significant issues confronting society, community, families, and spiritual life.
Last year over 120 people gathered in Seattle to invent solutions to challenges in homelessness, pornography, helping the mobile-first generation of children engage with Scripture and much more. On October 2-4th, 2015, Code for the Kingdom Seattle will—God willing—simultaneously join hackathons in 14 other cities for 48 hours to invent new technologies to address significant issues facing our world from a Christian perspective.
As local organizers, we want Code for the Kingdom Seattle to be an inspiring foretaste of God's Kingdom where believers work together to use their gifts in technology, design, entrepreneurship, and every other discipline to deliver amazing and creative solutions that demonstrate the love of Christ for the world.
Our vision is to cultivate a thriving ecosystem of technology entrepreneurship for the Gospel, where organizations and individuals invent technologies that bless our community and the world with foretastes of God’s Kingdom. This event is an important way to unite and mobilize the influential technology population of Puget Sound towards this end.
If this vision fits with your mission, passion and values, we would love to invite you to join us.
