We are in a season of the year associated with darkness and light, peace, stillness, and spirituality. The short days and long nights call us into our interiority. While it is considered a ‘season of peace’, many experience agitation, depression, or personal concerns. And even when our personal lives are calm or satisfying, we live in a world filled with suffering and turmoil.
These contemplations invite the questions: What is peace, truly? How does one cultivate inner stillness? How do we embrace the intimacy of our experience, whatever it is, and find inner peace?
This evening will introduce Peace and Stillness and the viewpoint of the Diamond Approach. There will be a short meditation, a talk, an experiential exercise, and an opportunity to ask questions.
