Just 3 people showed up. We did talk and shoot the breeze hoping other folks would show up. This group needs an assistant organizer that lives in or near Seattle to coordinate meet ups in Seattle.

this could have been better if more than 2 or 3 people had shown up. at this point it'd probly be better to start a new event than to try to reschedule this thing.

This doesn't look like abandon ware any more. I know for a fact that Marysville is too far for me to go for gaming. Having a meetup at Card Kingdom is great for me.

Well, the Emerald City Gamefest is meeting at Card Kingdom every Thursday from 6:30pm till closing, so there are groups that play here often.

This event has the looks of abandon ware. I only proposed a time and date since it had none. Someone care to take point on this? The location is great, I don't know how many games or what games we would be playing.

With 14 RSVPs, how many games are we going to have going? Do we need DMs? I have a ready to go one shot adventure that I am more than happy to DM for 4-6 players.

I would suggest this be set up similar to what the Story Gamers do: 2 meetups a week- one night, one day, and come if you can.

For the first few sessions just keep running one-shots, modules, Archetypical Dungeon crawls - so people can get used to different play styles, rules, etc - heck treat it as a Acquisitions Incorporated Franchised Adventurer's Guild and just go to town!

    So Let's Do This!

As I stated in my RSVP - Card Kingdom (Ballard) is the best place for this event to take place, I believe that Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday Nights are mostly still open. With CCG and miniature wargaming taking precedence on Fridays and Saturdays -- but they have more than enough room to host multiple tournaments (yes - multiple tournaments) on any given night.

Folks, this is a meetup thanks mostly to the website's new feature of creating a meetup if enough people respond to an idea. The idea for a downtown venue has been around for years. For this meetup to have a time and location, someone is going to have to arrange for both. Card Kingdom in Ballard may be your best shot as it apparently has oodles of space. If anyone is interested in a west seattle game, pls send me a PM or look for forest temko's post. G/L -- it's great to see so many dt players!
