We know it's only a week or so away - but wanted to get a Meetup in before our holiday party! If you have never had a beer in one hand and a crayon in the other - this is your chance! We'll start our night with a coloring bash.
Then.. we'll discuss the rules that all freelancers should live by - Part 2.
Here are a few to wet your appetite!
The world is your office. If you’re unhappy with where you are, move. You’re not a tree.
Luck is where timing meets preparation. Be proactive, so you’re prepared when the time comes. Never stop learning. Become a student again. (See #24 and #43)
You know all those things you’ve always wanted to do? You should go do them. “Never allow waiting to become a habit. Live your dreams and take risks. Life is happening now.” — Sheryl Erixson
Nothing is particularly hard if you split it into smaller tasks. Divide and conquer.
Sometimes you just have to jump and grow your wings on the way. You don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward.
A year from now you’ll wish you started today. Ready, set, go.
My parents used to tell me, “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” I love my parents, but they were wrong. Even if it’s enjoyable, work is still working. Build a freelance business that gives you more free time and flexibility, so you can do what you truly love away from work.
If you want to be inspired, make something inspiring.
Walk where the WiFi isn’t. Disconnect. “No one got rich checking their email more often.” — Noah Kagan
On particularly rough days, when you’re not sure if you can endure, remind yourself that your track record for getting through bad days is 100 percent, and that’s pretty good.
See you there!
