It's ADVENTURE RUN week! Instead of one of our standard 4-mile routes this week, we'll be doing an "adventure run" style run through the Fremont neighborhood (our 5th annual!), designed by co-host and expert orienteer Patrick!
There's no set route! We'll provide you with a neighborhood map with 20 checkpoints to visit. Team up with old friends and new! A route to visit all 20 should be about 4 miles. You can visit as many or as few as you like, in any order that you like. Tip: bring a hi-liter or marker!
The map & question files will be posted here by Tuesday, August 20, but here are EXAMPLES from our Wallingford Adventure Run from April:
You can print your own, play on your phone, or use one of the paper maps we'll have for you at the meetup.
Can't make this week? Use the map linked above and play when you want!
Despite what you see in the RSVP list, we typically have 15-30 runners each week, with many regulars who know the routes. Newbies are always welcome, as are any out-of-town runners looking for a fun group of runners!
We start meeting up at 5:15pm inside the Brooks Trailhead store at 3400 Stone Way in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. At 5:35pm, we have introductions, take a group photo, and head out the door.
Every week, no matter what, we always hang out and socialize afterward at nearby Fremont Brewing, which has tasty craft beer and cider on tap, as well as some non-alcoholic options.
At the store, lockers with locks are provided for your stuff, and water and towels are available when we get back.
Dogs are welcome! We frequently have dogs with us during the run and at the dog-friendly brewery.
