How long have you been running and are there items still on your bucket list that you are motivated to accomplish?

I started running, grudgingly, because it was part of triathlon. Having moved to Seattle and finding this incredible group, I am now a running enthusiast and actually love to run! The SGLRG keeps me motivated and pushing myself to keep getting faster.

How did your 2016 go as far as running? Any highlights that you'd like to share?

Having started triathlon in 2010, this year was my first year of doing just running races and I had an absolute blast! 6 half marathons, Ragnar, pacing the Seattle Marathon and a couple of short-distance fun runs scattered about made for the best first year of running I could have asked for.

What is your plan for 2017? Any races on the calendar for you? Do you have any big goals?

My two running goals this year are to have a sub 5-hour triathlon run split and set a new half marathon PR.

How many days a week do you typically run? What time of the day do you run?

I really have no preference - in 2014 my 3 weekly runs were morning, noon, and evening and I enjoy the variety.

How can we best support you and your running goals?

Ironman distance is certainly the most rewarding :) 2015 will include 4 full Ironman races in 3 different countries, Ragnar, Lake Sammamish half, Birch Bay, Escape from Alcatraz tri, STP, Seafair tri, Lake Chelan half, and probably another half marathon or two and of course, Seattle Marathon as a pacer if the opportunity is there!
