What would you like to get out of this meetup group?

Learning time. I hope to hear peoples experiences in the tech world and try to learn something from somebody. I'm still pretty new and I have a lot to catch up on.

What are your primary skills and/or areas to hack on? (e.g. front-end, back-end, UX, UI, hardware, graphics, etc.)

Front-end, graphics, UI, UX, beginner level back-end, Apple Mobile Devices, web, Android [sucks], and I'm pretty much not scared to try and figure out something I don't know. I also have a degree in Visual Communications, so that helps.

What are your favorite tools? (e.g. languages, frameworks, devices, software, conceptual models, etc.)

xCode, Adobe Creative Suite CS6, Objective-C, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, HTML5, PHP, Javascript, Java, SQL, Parse API, Visual Studio, Wordpress, knockout.js, jvectormap.js, gridster.js, Math.js, Zend, WebGL, Eclipse, Filezilla, Mac, Windows, terminal, cmd.exe.

What's something cool you've built recently? (it's okay if you haven't)

I built a chain of custody iPhone and iPad app for laboratories in the United States to accept samples from their technicians and email a pdf / csv file to whoever they want. I used Parse API to do it, and a little bit of PHP for the file and email handling. Its called iCOC and I don't think they are going to release it to the public.

If you've been to hackathons in the past, what was the best you've ever been to?

This would be my 4rd hackathon. LadyCoders was really fun!

I'm an artist, coder, hacker, and mobile dev, but right now I mostly do front-end web dev. On the side I make mobile apps. Although I code more often than not in Javascript and PHP, my heart is in Objective-C. I get fangirl about code and I <3 it.
