Sustainable Capitol Hill's September Event: Beacon Food Forest Tour

Community, local food systems, and resilient local ecosystems: what's not to love about the Beacon Food Forest?!

If you haven't heard, the Beacon Food Forest is a perennial, self-sustaining, permaculture project, with fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, herbs, and plenty of other edible plants available for neighbors to tour, touch, and taste. It is in the process of being built, and will eventually cover 7 acres.

Come tour this exceptional edible wilderness growing in our own backyard!

6:30p Potluck (please bring a snack or beverage, as well as your own utensils and plates)

7:00p Tour of Beacon Food Forest

PS, if you'd like to join the planning meeting, we will be meeting for about 30 min after the event. Please feel free to stay and give us your input!
