Seattle Running Club Sunday run (regular recurring event)

  • May 26, 2013 · 7:30 AM
  • Red Town Trailhead at Cougar Mt. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED

The Seattle Running Club hosts a trail run every Sunday beginning at 7:30 AM. These are generally 8-16 miles long over hilly terrain, with a wide range of paces. All runners -- club members and nonmembers alike -- are welcome, though we encourage regular attendees to join the club. (Membership info is available at
www.seattlerunningclub.org.) Our "default" location is the Red Town trailhead at Cougar Mountain; the run organizers will leave a comment here if going elsewhere on any given Sunday. People are also encouraged to use comments to offer carpooling assistance, etc. More information, including a map of our usual Cougar routes and directions to the Red Town trailhead, is available at
www.seattlerunningclub.org.

Hey guys, I am thinking about joining this run today. This would be my first real trail run. Is there any registration required? Is anyone doing 8 miles? What are your paces, I can handle anywhere between 7-10 mpi on a flat surface.

Ali, feel free to join our group run next sunday. Today, we ran about 13 miles but there is always option to make it shorter for folks that don't want to go long distance. We usually place ferns on the trails so that other runners can follow the course. If you want to go for shorter distance, please make sure you let the run leader know about it....so that it is easier for you to get back to the trailhead.
