Let's paddle down to the Kirkland beach park and watch the Christmas ships take off on their early Saturday sailing. I will post more details as we get closer. Make sure you get their early enough to make the 1.5 mile paddle down to Kirkland so we can listen to the concert which begins at 3:40. The 6 or so of us that actually made it down to the concert two years ago year had a great time floating between the crowd on shore and the big concert ship. We need to get more boats down there in time this year.
This paddle should take about 45 minutes to get down to the park, 30 minutes to listen to the concert, and then a leisurely paddle back up to the park.If we launch by 2:45 we should be able to get down and listen to the concert fine. We should be back before 5pm but you should bring a headlight.
And get some battery operated xmas lights for you kayak so we can be a great sight on the way back. You can use them for Saul's caroling paddle.....
You need to have your own kayak and all necessary immersion gear. If the weather is windy please check this site for updates.
