I want to get further up north into Canadian waters.
I hit the caves and stacks of Cape Flattery, Point of Arches, Giants Graveyard, and Tatoosh Island every chance I get. Here's a video from this summer to get more folks psyched to get out there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQmOsAhBM-0
I cannot ever imagine calling myself an "expert" at anything involving the ocean. It will always humble you and make you feel like a fool for testing it. However, I'm comfortable (actually love) paddling in the surf, caves, and rock gardens of the outer coast; and I've done many multi-day solo trips in some challenging areas.
Personally, I've done many week-long solo paddles on Kauai's NaPali Coast, the Olympic Coast, the San Juans, and the Apostle Islands. I've also professionally led week-long group trips in the San Juans.
I started out as a whitewater kayaker but quickly fell in love with paddling the rocks, caves, arches and surf of the Washington Coast and Kauai. I'm looking forward to meeting people for fun multi day trips.
