What new place do you want to paddle in this year?

Everywhere. I have made several trips in the sound but have not explored the interior lakes.

What is your favorite place to paddle here in the NW?

Yet to be found. Deception Pass so far hits the top for exciting water. San Juan Islands for scenery. Port of Brownsville for nicest CMT site. Oh, who am I kidding, everywhere is my favorite place to paddle.

What is your sea kayaking experience level (beginner, intermediate, expert)?

Advanced Kayaker. Much training through Kayak Academy. Have a good roll on either side. Can do self rescue and buddy rescue. Can navigate. Introduced to eddies and currents in Canoe and Deception Passes at full current. Paddled in 20kt. winds (it sucks).

Where are some of the places you have been kayaking?

Local lakes in Olympia (practicing rolls and strokes), Budd Inlet, Hammersley Inlet, Nisqually Delta, Anderson Island, Tacoma Narrows, Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island, Skagit Bay, Deception Pass, San Juan Islands, to name a few.

Introduction

New to sea kayaking looking for paddling companions so that I can be more safe than paddling alone.

What DCC is saying about this Meetup Group

I am liking the meet-up group. I will be looking for more opportunities in the south sound closer to where I live but will also come north to where most of you live for paddle trips.
