One of our members volunteered to help with a swim event next week and now he will be out of town on business and would like to find a replacement. To ensure that the team that George committed to gets coverage, please let them know that you are a substitute for George Barron.
Here's his info:
"I need somebody to help me. I signed up to act as a safety kayak for the "Swim For Life" swim across lake Washington on August 15th, between 6:30am and 2:00pm. Unfortunately I have just been informed that I will be out of town for the next couple of weeks. This puts the team that I was going to paddle for in a bit of a bind, so I'm begging for help from the group. If anyone can cover for me, I would be most grateful. All you have to do is follow your team across the lake and back and if anybody gets too tired, you act as a "float" that he/she can hang onto until they're ready to swim again or until other (professional) help arrives. This is a charity event that is sponsored by Puget Sound Blood Center: http://swimforlife.2012.dojiggy.com. Take the day off, feel good about helping such a worthy event, enjoy the sun." -- George Barron
