Storytelling celebrates the wisdom, humor, and diversity of the human experience and can capture and heal the human heart. The Seattle Storytellers Guild promotes storytelling and helps story enthusiasts. It is part of a regional and national network of organizations that work to support this most ancient art.

AuntMama's StoryTable -- 50 Years of Pride

Auntmama and The Seattle Storytellers Guild present 50 Years of Pride Featuring Greb B., Tara Hardy, Sara Depp, Auntmama (Mary Anne Moorman), Kathya Alexander, Olubayo. The Seattle Storytellers Guild, joins with Starbucks for Auntmama's StoryTable celebrating 50 Years of Pride. Tara Hardy is a poet, memoirist, and teacher. Her most recent poetry collection is "My, My, My, My, My," released from Write Bloody Press and won the 2017 Washington State Book Award. Greg B is founder of the Book "Bitter Single Guy," a respected spoken word artist and finalist in the National Slam Competition. First Friday Night Story Swap in North Seattle

Telling starts promptly at 7:00 - we will enjoy snacks, beverages and social time at the end of the evening at 8:45 pm. It is FREE! Donations are welcome, but not required. Both listeners and tellers are welcome. There will be an 8 minute limit for stories. Feedback will be offered if time allows. Personal or folk tales are welcome.
