What we're about

Any and all folks who want to develop running speed - through improved form, fitness, and strength. We will focus on track workouts and plyometrics. I'm hardly qualified to start this group, and am hoping to learn as much as teach.

My interest in starting this group is to create a community for folks interested in speedwork and sprints. Many (perhaps all) of the running groups in the Seattle area cater to distance runners, or are youth-based track & field organizations.

Track workout (Sat, 4/27 - 9:30 am)

Nathan Hale High School Track

Bring running shoes, water, and track spikes if you have them. 9:30 - warm up 9:45 - accelerations & short sprints 10:00 - plyometrics/strength (focus on core and legs) 10:30 - cool down & stretch

Open Track Meet -- All-comers, hosted by Club NW

Shoreline Stadium

Open track meet series, with full electronic timing! Available to all runners of any level and age! Events include the 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500, mile, 2 mile, and 5000 m. All field events as well! Meets run through the summer, every Weds, from May 29 to Aug 14th. $8 per athlete (compete in as many events as you'd like) https://www.clubnorthwest.org/all-comers
