What we're about
Welcome to the Seattle Turtle and Tortoise Club, a group of turtle and tortoise keepers who are interested in care and preservation of all chelonian species. Our club was founded in 2001 and is 501(c)3. Dues are $15/year.
Regular meetings are on the third Sunday of the month. Meetings may include a speaker, a video, or live turtles, and there always is discussion about turtle care and adoption. We participate in reptile events in the Puget Sound Area and other educational outreach events, including a celebration of World Turtle Day in May. Our rescue and adoption program finds homes for turtles. For more information about STTC, visit http://seattleturtleandtortoiseclub.com (http://seattleturtleandtortoiseclub.com/about.html)
There are over 250 chelonian species and chelonia have been on earth for over 200 million years. If you keep turtles, are considering adopting a turtle or tortoise, or just want to know about these shelled creatures, please join us.
