[This is a message, not a meeting, so disregard the date.] I am able to take a third or fourth person on a trip to Morocco that I'm putting together for next spring, April 2019. If someone is interested in similar trips to Europe, we can discuss at the same time. More information on these below. We'll meet for Persian dinner in the University District in Seattle. Since this meetup involves a restaurant reservation, please be responsible about RSVP'ing and be serious about your interest in travel. If you simply cannot make this date/time, please message me (click on the photo for Andrew, Event Host, in the RSVP list) to arrange a phone conversation. I'm an Event Organizer in several Meetup groups and Organizer of a few Meetup groups. Some information about the Morocco trip: March 29-April 14, 2019. This is my second trip and the last for the foreseeable future. It's a lovely and comfortable vacation in one of the world's most exotic destinations, at the best time of year in terms of climate. Gorgeous architecture (mosaics, carved wood, painted ceilings), several unique gardens, flavorful Middle Eastern food, and wine. Trip includes sightseeing in major cities and several excursions to the countryside, plus atmospheric dining--in former palaces, garden restaurants lit with lace-like lanterns, rooftop terrace bars as the sunsets over the medieval city. Internal transport in an air-conditioned van. Because of staying in traditional lodging (riads, kasbahs) with few bedrooms, it's very important to reserve now. Destinations for future European trips, plus Asia: Paris, Provence, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Tuscany, English countryside... also Myanmar/Burma (Southeast Asia) in December of 2019. Trip characteristics: Independent travel with cost sharing (not a commercial tour). Just a few people. Lodging in vacation rentals (houses, apartments) or small guesthouses. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom. Two-week overseas tours usually cost in the vicinity of $2,500 plus international airfare. Please note that you do not need to have all the funds available at once--they get paid in stages (first lodging deposits, then airfare, and final payments during the trip). Among the advantages of my trips is that for the same price, you get your own bedroom rather than having to share. Who would enjoy these trips: You are highly responsible and reliable. Able to plan well in advance. Able to climb stairs (one or two stories). No food restrictions (able to eat meat, including lamb, fish, wheat, dairy). Enjoy dining in beautiful locations and atmospheric venues, as sometimes sightseeing and meals are intertwined. Preferably over age 45 (others on these trips are over 45/50).
