A solutions architect is a cross-disciplinary role, requiring familiarity and experience in statistics, econometrics, or quantitative marketing methods, as well as advanced computational methods and environments, and the ability to combine that within an institutional and business environment. A successful solutions architect needs to be able to design and build complex solutions to business problems, where the complexity may be in the business process aspect, the statistical/computational aspect, and the institutional aspect. This is a client facing role, and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision on small projects, as well as collaborate with client teams on bigger projects.

The person will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining systems, in parts or in whole, involving the following techniques:
  • Statistical and Probabilistic Modeling
  • Machine Learning
  • Large Scale Data Mining

These skills are required for developing predictive models of user behavior, finding anomalies in transactions, Pattern Recognition, Language Processing and Mining of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. The person will get the opportunity to contribute to projects ranging from the ones involving massive datasets to the ones solving small scale but very complex problems using machine learning and probabilistic modeling techniques.

The position will be responsible for:
  • Analyzing data to build analytical models for solving high-value business problems.
  • Implementing standard and proprietary algorithms for handling and processing data.
  • Incorporating the algorithms in distributed and parallel software systems.
  • Designing and building infrastructural components of the solutions.
