Hearths Warming Eve Secret Present Day

  • round table

16108 ash way suite 115, lynnwood, WA (map)

  • Let's spend Hearths warming eve together and do a present exchange. Basicly there will be presents and numbers on them. Everyone will will draw cards with the presents numbers on them and will get one. (everyone will get one). If anyone is bringing foals, please let us know. For if you do we can either make a separate gift spot specifically for them (unless all the gifts are appropriate then never mind).

By appropriate I mean like nothing to do with beer or alcohol or anything of the sort.....been to a few present gift exchanges before.

Hey everypony. So unfortunately I discovered today that I cannot contribute to the secret santa exchange at all. I'm very sorry about this. And there's also a big "if" now whether or not I can make this at all. Hopefully I'll be able to.

whats the price limit on gifts like $10 or something?

    • Brian W.

      ok have any suggestions?

      Yesterday

    • Joseph P.

Get an item that's MLP related. Plushie, trading card game, figure from the store, ext.

      Yesterday

  • Curtis

Marked myself as attending, but might be a bit late. (Staff meeting was marked as possibly going to 6:00, and then I'd still have to travel all the way to Lynnwood.)

But as long as you don't plan on starting the gift exchange immediately, that's probably fine.

    • HelpingHoof

6pm is when people show up. We wont do the gift thing till later.

      1 · 3 days ago

    • Bolt the S.

Like about 6:30? That's likely when I'll make it there by.

      Yesterday

  • HelpingHoof

The amount of presents to bring is up to the individual.

    • Notch Parduson / Pixel H.

Idk if I can buy nothin. Ill have to see about it.

    • HelpingHoof

if not we can still have pizza and enjoy each others company. The present thing is kind a optional.

  • Bolt the S.

I'll probably arrive at about 6:30 if that's ok.

  • HelpingHoof

wish I didn't live so far away from everyone lol. Or I would have the meet-ups closer.

Would love to make it out to Hearths Warming Eve but would need a ride from DoubleTree where the staff meeting will being held.

  • Will B.

Anyone passing by my place? 'Cuz I need a ride.

    1 · 4 days ago

    • Will B.

Unless you know how to get there within an hour by bus, I'm not sure what would help.

    • Matthew

It might be about an hour to an hour and a half, if you live near the Kent station. It's only two buses from there.

  • Bolt the S.

As a suggestion, if this event were moved to 6:30 PM you may be able to attract some interested EFNW staff who would have just gotten out of their meeting. I left a comment on that meetup page to get an idea of how many would be interested in attending.

      I suppose that could work.

    • Bolt the S.

Would you mind moving it to 6:30 (instead of 6:00) since you're moving it please?

It's also easier for me to do the random present thing because I still don't know you guys very well.

Ok, there I made a change to it lol

How would the secret santa even be arranged? Especially with people RSVP-ing later, or someone having to cancel? And of course, how would the secret santas be assigned?

    November 29

    • Tales

Right, Secret Santa is definitely done differently and this totally sounds like a White Elephant exchange instead.

    • James R.

I'm all for the white elephant gift exchange, especially since I'm currently close with only a couple members of the group (for now :3)

  • Brian W.

i think bolt might have a good suggestion on that with the 6:30pm and i would go if i can get a ride up and back

  • HelpingHoof

I'm still debating on the Lynnwood round table or the Pegasus restaurant someone mentioned. However I'm still limited to the bus. I just want to choose a place that's convenient to everyone. Also, foals are welcome. Always fun to see them open presents lol.

    November 29

  • Matthew

This place is easy to get to from downtown Seattle on sound transit route 512. (I know a lot about Seattle transit, if you couldn't tell. XD)

    November 28

  • HelpingHoof changed the time from 5:00 PM to 3:00 PM

  • HelpingHoof

me and Pixals are limited to the bus.

    November 28

  • HelpingHoof changed the location to round table

    November 28

  • Matthew

Also, there's a pizza place in West Seattle called Pegasus on alki. Fits the pony theme. :p

    1 · November 28

  • Matthew

Any place easy accessible by metro would be nice, especially for people like me who rely on the bus for transportation.

    November 28

  • HelpingHoof

Thinking of a pizza place in the seattle area. Since I'm limited by the bus. Any suggestions? (last meet-ups place was too small)

    November 28

    • Notch Parduson / Pixel H.

I think roundtable is still a good option.

      November 28

    • Tyler E.

Romios is a good pizza place as well, there are several in the Seattle area, including one in my neighborhood.

      November 28

  • HelpingHoof

I'm unsure about the time. Only chose it because I had to choose something. More likely it will be a lunch thing or something

    November 28

  • Megan

How is the search for a location going?

    November 28

  • Matthew

    I hope that I won't be working.

    November 28

  • James R.

If I work during this time I'll have to pass, but until I know for sure, I'll plan on coming :)

    November 27

  • Arc

gotta be at work by 6 this day so can't make this

    November 25

  • Curtis

Sounds like staff meeting is going until "6:00 at the latest." What if you made this 6:00 or 6:30 so folks could come right from the staff meeting? (You'd prob get more attendance that way too.)

    November 25

  • Curtis

Would like to do this, but it will have to work with the staff meeting at 2:00, which I'm required to be at. (https://www.meetup.com/SeattleBronies/events/235811284/)

I've asked how long that meeting will be running.

    1 · November 25

  • Shannon B.

Can't make this very popular date... I know Sokol is working on something for this annual event also but since some folks will be gone for the Crebers concert on the 16th, it likely won't be this day.

    November 25

  • Celine L.

We used to do something like this at Pegasus Pizza in Kirkland, but I hear they're closed now.
I can offer our house, but it might be more fun to do this at a restaurant or something similar.
