After a long hiatus (sorry...) We continue DocuTalk.
Note the new schedule and location.
DOC CLIPS: AN INTERACTIVE EVENING OF DOCUMENTARY FILM DISCOVERY
You are asked to bring a favorite scene from a contemporary or classic documentary film to screen for the group. This presentation promises to be a fun way to get exposed to new and old work that many of us might have missed. Clip presenters will be asked to provide info about the scene and the film that it is excerpted from as well as explain why the film clip is an effective piece of documentary filmmaking. Scenes should be no more than 5 minutes in length and could be excerpted from any part of the film (please avoid major plot spoilers!). Clips should be on DVD or VHS. Due to time limitations I believe we will probably be limited to 6 or 7 presentations, so we will operate on a first come first screened basis. You can email me to save a spot.
Food & Drink: We will continue the long tradition of DocuTalk refreshments. Please feel free to bring your favorite appetizer &/or drink to share (no obligation).
We are asking for a $3.00 donation to attend.
I think the format for this evening will prove to be a great opportunity to regroup and get to know each other.
