Italy’s premier mountain resort – the Queen of the Dolomites – Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy – awaits us! This world-class winter destination ( provides the perfect blend of natural beauty, culture, tradition, and winter sports magnificence. Host of the 1956 Olympics and still popular among the rich and famous, it is a bustling mountain town with a lively apres-ski scene. Cortina is one of the 12 major resorts in the Dolomiti Superski region, which boasts more than 450 lifts and 750 miles of groomed runs. Cortina itself is surrounded by four ski areas, accessed by a free ski bus system. The town sits at 4.105 ft and the highest lift reaches 9,640 feet – the perfectly groomed runs provide a good mix of terrain for all abilities, and the wide variety of off-piste possibilities beckon those who seek a freeriding or mountaineering experience. Our home for the week will be the historic 4-star Concordia Parc Hotel (, situated in a privileged location in the center of town. The hotel features a restaurant, bar and lounge. We will have access to the elegant and peaceful wellness center at the nearby 5-star Hotel Grand Savoie, for a small daily fee.

After our ski week, we’ll transfer to Venice to experience the city’s world-famous Carnival (, first held in the 11th century! Our home will be the 4-star Hotel Bologna (, which is located on the mainland in Venice Mestre.
