August Photo Stroll - Kubota Garden

The August photo stroll will once again fall on a Sunday and early. By going early, we should beat the crowds and the high sun (and heat, if hot)!

*** Please note ***

I spoke with the parks permit person, she said we do not need a permit to take photographs in this  park and that tri-pods are OK, but nothing larger. That means no lighting setups! She also confirmed that if you take a photo within the park and later decide that you want to sell that photo, you will need to get in touch with them to request a permit. That means, if you turn it into cards, or decide to sell it in a gallery, you will need to get a permit for the rights to use the image. I wanted to put this out there so that on the slight chance, it doesn't come back and bite someone in the arse.

Heh, got up @ 8:45 am, reset the alarm for 9:15 am, woke up, turned it off, then went back to sleep. Finally rolled out of bed at 12:05 pm. Oops.

I'm sorry I missed this. I got to the bus stop, looked at my watch, saw it was 10:30, knew the bus might be at least 30 minutes later...add to the time I'd actually get there...I wasn't going to make it at all. I hope everyone had fun, though.

I hope we didn't miss anyone at the end for a bite to eat after! The majority of the group finished up a bit early. There were a few folks I didn't see to pass along the information. If we missed you, my apologies.

I went here a few years ago and I recall there being a small cost to enter the property ($2 maybe?). I'm not seeing anything on either link provided though.

I go here often, year around, there is no fee, it is a free Seattle City maintained park.
