Join us for a 48hr jam, inspired by CoolGames Inc podcast! Each participant or team will randomly pick a theme from CoolGames Inc, and work over the weekend to bring it to life! We encourage everyone to find a team to work with either on or off site, but solo jammers are just as welcome!
The event is 18+ with a 20$ fee that we will use to cover meals and drinks for Saturday and Sunday - please let us know in the RSVP about any food allergies!
You can make the 20$ on site payment to https://cash.me/$RaymondJohnGrice ; please include your RSVP name in the memo - if you are planning to bring guests, please include their names and payments as well!
You can also pay with cash or card on the first day of the event!
Schedule (Subject to change):
5:00pm - Doors Open, Meet and Greet
5:45pm - Introductions and Theme Assignments
6:00pm - Jam Begins!
All Day - Jam Continues
6:00pm - Jam Ends, Submission
6:30pm - Show and Tell
The rules are simple: you have 48hrs to create a game and submit it to the Jam page on itch.io . Even if you don't finish in time, please submit what you have so that everyone in the jam is able to check it out! If you are planning on submitting a physical game, please submit the rules and the play materials instead!
While we are allowing 48hr access to the site, feel free to work remotely as well, and come to the show and tell at the end of the weekend!
For more info/to follow along, please "RSVP" on the facebook page here: Link
The Indie's Workshop has graciously allowed us to use their facilities over the weekend; that said, the Workshop is still an office space, and should be treated with respect.
Please do not use or enter any of the workspaces that have been marked restricted
Please do not use the kitchen or fridge unless given permission by an event organizer
Please do not use any of the equipment in any of the tv areas unless given permission by an event organizer
Please remember to keep you area clean - throw away trash, and keep any of your possessions within your work area
The event is also governed by the Seattle Indies Code of Conduct - please read before participating!
We will have chairs, desks, power and Wifi on site - please bring your own development devices if you plan to work on site! We will also have a projector for presenting at the end of the jam - if necessary, you may need to bring a converter for whatever device you plan to show on (the projector uses HDMI).
