Monthly Meeting

  • Jan 12, 2014 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for our get together! As well as our usual laughter and conversations, we'll be discussing the group and our goals for the year. What do you want to get from the Secular Sisterhood? What sorts of activities and topics should we focus on? Etc.

Our monthly get together is going to be at a new location this time around, tentatively. (We are trying to make a reservation, keep on eye on this and we'll update if we need to) We wanted to change things up a bit. Join us for a late lunch and fun conversation! This is a restaurant, but we will be in our own little private room. Here's their menu:

As discussed, we will be donating items to the Denver Safe house. This is their wishlist: Please only purchase new items and bring them to this event. I will then contact their donations coordinator to arrange a drop off. Feel free to look around their site, if you have any questions about them, please forward them to me and I will pass them on and share the answers with everyone.

I thought there were some good ideas! I would love to volunteer in the community, especially to help women.

This was my first meetup with S.S. and I found it easy to make conversation. I enjoyed the range of personalities and will be less intimidated to go to Meetups at the secular hub having met some of the female members now.

My man has been sick for a week and I woke up this morning feeling not well myself. So, rather than be Typhoid Mary, I'm going to sit this one out. See you ladies next time!

So I have confirmed with Interstate Kitchen our reservation to use their private meeting room on Sunday the 12th at 1pm. They did advise that at 1pm they will be serving their brunch menu as well as, with a party our size, we may need to be patient with the arrival of our orders. I suggest maybe taking a look at their menu beforehand or once you arrive to be able to get an order in quickly. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

    Are kids allowed?

It more depends on your kids and what you feel comfortable with. Conversations can get rather adult at times. I'll most likely have my son with me, but he's under a year old.
