According to MST3K canon (thanks to Shout Factory for this),
Night of the Lepus was one of the movies Mike Nelson had to endure before he became the new "test subject" to Dr. Forrester's plan to destroy the world through bad movies. To be fair, the doc never foresaw SyFy, Sharknado...or Rifftrax.
At long last, Rifftrax took on Night of the Lepus (http://www.rifftrax.com/video/night-lepus), a 1972 film that would have been in Bert I. Gordon's wheelhouse if it was made ten years earlier. It was part of MGM's efforts to be more contemporary after its golden age was over. The cast is interesting: western movie staples Stuart Whitman and Rory Calhoun, Janet Leigh (so there's a few Psycho jokes), and DeForest Kelley in his post-Star Trek period.
Secular Hub members are invited to hang out and watch a movie on our BIG screen at the Secular Hub on Thursday nights! Drinks, snacks, and popcorn will be available for sale. Doors will be open at 6:30pm and the movie will begin at 7:00pm.
Movies will sometimes have a secular theme, sometimes they'll just be things we all vote on and want to see. We will update individual events with the movie when available.
This is a recurring weekly event, subject to other secular events that require the Secular Hub space. We'll make sure to update the meetup each week with the movie selection and notify when they are cancelled.
Note: Secular Hub meetings such as movie night are open only to dues paying members of the Secular Hub. Sign up on line at http://www.secularhub.org/membership/ or in person at the Hub.
