Volunteer Event: Project C.U.R.E.

Make a difference--this Saturday, from 9a - 12p--by volunteering with your fellow helping heathens at Project C.U.R.E.

Project C.U.R.E. takes medical supplies that would otherwise be discarded, organizes them, and ships them off to the developing world--to people who are in dire need of them.

Registration on the Project C.U.R.E. website is required (see below; it takes about 5 minutes).

-- Requirements --

- Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes in the warehouse.
- Wear weather-appropriate clothing as it is colder in winters and warmer in summers.
- Please arrive on-time. We will be led by a Volunteer Leader and they will need adequate time to explain what will need to be done.

-- Special Registration Instructions --

1. Visit the Project C.U.R.E. CERVIS event registration page at
2. Scroll down and click on the "Register for an Event Or Manage Your Profile" Button.
3. Follow the on screen instructions. If this is your first time using the CERVIS online registration system, you will be prompted to create a Volunteer profile.
4. Click on the "Register for an Event" Hyperlink.
5. Select your name from the list and enter the code "NencX7" (without the quotes) into the "Event Registration Code" Box.
6. Click the "Register for selected event" button.

-- Notes --

There will be a social afterward!

- Those interested can go out afterward to chat about the event or just hang out and make some new friends.  Submit your location recommendation in the comments.

This community service activity is open to members and non-members, alike.

How to Keep the Hub Sustainable

A key benefit of the Secular Hub is the physical meeting space it provides free-of-charge to local secular groups.  To help pay the bills, the Hub collects membership dues and limits some activities to dues-paying members as a perk.  If you are not yet a member of the Hub, please feel free to stop in for an 'open' event, enjoy the company of your fellow heathens, and see what the Hub is about.  If you like what you see, help support the local secular community and gain access to further secular events/opportunities by becoming a member.  You can sign up in person or online at
