RE: [EdmontonSecularHumanists] Edmonton Secular Humanist Meetup Information

I live in a new area in the Southeast; adjacent to the Whitemud and 17 St. and close to Sherwood Park. It’s very easy to jump on the Whitemud or down 17 to the  Anthony Henday, so….wherever.

I noticed that the Starbucks on 102 Ave. has a separate little room, or area, to the right of the front entrance with about three to four tables in it. The previous Meetups were held on the patio – in good, warm weather. If things are crappy on Oct. 2nd, we should consider locating in that indoor area – putting tables together ASAP to give us adequate space.

Moving it around is good and I’ll look for suitable venues as well. Fridays may pose a problem for me in future, but it’s impossible to make things work for everyone and I accept that.

Good Morning Everyone,

One suggestion I have received is that the meetups move around to different parts of the city and that is a good suggestion.  The reason I have focused on Downtown is two-fold:

1) It's central for everyone

2) It's relatively low traffic at night.

Perhaps the venues can be in different parts of the city if downtown is inconvenient for the majority of people.  Please let me know.

Also I will look at creating a meetup for "Capitalism: A Love Story".  A Michael Moore film is always good for discussion if nothing else.

All your thoughts are appreciated, please keep them coming.  If you want to respond to me in a less public fashion please contact me at [address removed] otherwise you can just hit reply.

Thank you very much and I hope to see you all at a meetup soon,
