The AMusinGlass studio at 45 Birch Boulevard closed on August 3, 2020. All glass classes and open studio events are suspended until I open my new studio. The new and improved AMusinGlass studio will be located off of Bill Gray Road halfway between Sedona and Cottonwood, and will hopefully be completed around the end of 2021. I will re-start events there once I'm unpacked and settled in. Advance warning: the studio will be located approximately a half an hour drive down dirt roads once you leave 89A.
You've found the right group if you're interested in glass fusing, also known as warm glass or kiln forming; torch working or lamp working; slumping, a process of putting flat glass onto a mold to shape it; sandblasting designs onto glass; screen printing designs on glass; adding texture to flat glass or glass casting. I teach lots of different techniques to add interest to your pieces if you already have worked with glass before, as well as teaching absolute first-time beginners to create a piece that they can be proud of making.
At this time I'm considering alternatives to the standard classes and open studio events that I previously held. If you have any requests or ideas for how to structure playing with glass at my studio, or learning techniques from me, please contact me here. I will be checking and responding to any messages as they come in.
