This is a group for you - if you are interested in improving yourself and the quality of your life through self discovery and personal growth. I have explored many different personal growth methods and teachings, and this is one of my all-time favorites. I warmly invite you to check it out.
For several years I have been participating in Integration Groups (I-groups) developed by Mankind Project (MKP, mankindproject.org (http://www.mankindproject.org/)), met some great people and saw positive changes in myself and my life as a result of this work. The I-groups concept, structure and processes have been developed and fine tuned by experiences and contributions of thousands of great people over many years, and work exceptionally well. Even though I-groups originated within a men's organization, they are just as well suited for a mixed gender participation. After learning that there are several "co-ed" I-groups around the country, I decided to start one here.
This I-group is open to both men and women who are interested in improving themselves and their lives, by increasing their self-awareness, authenticity, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal and communication skills. It is a peer structured group, meaning there is no one leader or authority. We all assist and support each other on our journeys. Deeper processes are facilitated by the most experienced members, currently Goran, Wes, and Andy.

To draw a parallel with physical exercise - this would be like sports training, rather than physical therapy. Two different things, even though they may use some of the similar equipment and exercises.
This Self Discovery I-group is for people who want to learn and grow towards living a more fulfilling, happy and vibrant life. Though it has an element of mutual support, it is not a traditional support group. At times it requires courage and effort and can get you out of your comfort zone. "Life begins where comfort ends". The processes are designed to help you identify and resolve issues in your life that are holding you back. In my experience - it works great, and I encourage you to give it a try :-)
We meet every two weeks or so, in my house in Norcross. Attendance is free, with an optional small donation to cover Meetup fees, etc. If you like to be extra nice, you can bring a snack to share for the break :-)
To give you a better idea of what we do, this is a general outline of our meetings:
First round: - circle up - logistics, announcements - a short meditation, to help transition from the "outside world" to the "introspective space" - brief check-in
Second round: - short intro - deeper check-in - shorter exercises, like emotional clearings and "stretches"/commitments - short break
Third round: - each person creates a "work statement" ("If I was to work tonight, it would be about..."); selecting who will work tonight (usually 2-3 people volunteer) - self-discovery/personal growth work processes (this is the main part of an I-group)
Fourth round: - closing circle, appreciations, check out
Two rules may be good to mention here: 1) Confidentiality - we do not talk about other participants experiences outside of the group. 2) "Anyone can pass at any time" - you do not have to do anything you don't want to do.
