Seminole State College Toastmasters
The meeting is easy to find. But first, let's consider parking: using the campus map (see link: https://www.seminolestate.edu/about/directions) (https://www.seminolestate.edu/about/directions%29) you may want to park near the "V" bldg or the "J" bldg. In the Fall and Spring Semester, parking could be a challenge, so be sure to arrive early. If you don't see a spot behind "V" and "J," then circle around to the south side of the campus, and park behind the "C" building (see the campus map), Summer Semester (through the end of July), parking at mid-day should not be a problem, especially in front of the "J" or "V" buildings. From there, it is an easy walk to the "V" bldg. It has two levels. We meet on the upper level (from the parking lot, it looks like the main floor). We will be in V-105. It is the legal studies classroom. Classes will run in that room until 12:15, at which time you may enter the room. If you lose your way, just about anyone can tell you where the "V" bldg is. The meeting launches at 12:30 p.m. Try to arrive at least five minutes early, so that we can meet you. However, while punctuality is appreciated in any Toastmasters meeting, if you are running late, you are still welcome to attend - we won't "guilt" you for being late! We do not have a dress code; we do not require any special sort of attire. Assuming that you have sufficient clothing to satisfy local ordinances and avoid prosecution for indecent exposure, you'll be fine as far as we are concerned. Come as you are. Our members come from many walks of life, We have faculty, students, local business people and entrepreneurs from around Central Florida, as well as retirees, deans, administrators, HR gurus, career program advisers, UCF folks, and alumni. Our members bring a multitude of perspectives to each meeting. We share a common goal of cultivating speaking skills. Each week, we strive hard to help each other along our respective paths, and we manage to have a great deal of fun along the way.
