Florida Aquarium / Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary / Tarpon Springs

March 25 & 26: 

Tour the Florida Aquarium in Tampa at your own pace. Meet outside, arrive by 10 am and tour the Aquarium, have lunch on premises and take the Dolphin Cruise at 1:45 pm or arrive by 12:30 pm--board the boat at 1:45 and after 3 pm, do a self-guided tour of the Aquarium. Per website, Aquarium plus cruise is $33.95.

The Suncoast Sea Bird Sanctuary in Indian Shores will be our next stop. This is a renowned avian rehabilitation center.We will be spending two nights at John’s Pass at the Tahitian Resort, a 50’s retro-style motel on the beach on the Gulf with a variety of accommodations. Most have kitchenettes. John’s Pass is 32 miles from the Aquarium. There’s a Denny’s across the street. You must make your own reservations. or[masked]-5209.

Traveling 30 miles north from John’s Pass on a Scenic Highway we will arrive in Tarpon Springs. Explore Tarpon Springs at your leisure. Join the boat ride if you choose--out on the Gulf. View the bird life with a guided tour of the mangrove islands.
