Guided Walk Through Oakland Nature Preserve

Our conservation partners at Friends of the Wekiva River have invited us to join them for a field trip to the Oakland Preserve.  The entire walk/hike will be on boardwalk and there are water fountains along the trail.  Approximately 2 hours.

Jim Thomas will be the guide.  When we meet Jim, he will offer us a few options for best discovering this amazing area, i.e., a 2/3 mile hike on boardwalk to Lake Apopka or viewing the nature center or just chilling out on one of their old rocking chairs.

    If I got to Oakland Nature preserve (747 machete Trl), the nature ctr is right there, isnt it.
