  • Foothill Regional Park hike
Foothill has several 4 miles routes that we take as the group decides. Our pace will be moderate, even as the group splits by individual speeds. Our walk usually last about 1 and 3/4 hours. We often take the Alta Vista trail which is as steep as many of the rather strenuous hills in the area. Roadside parking is available if you don't have a park pass.

  • Hiking three Loops at Sonoma Regional
This is our Loop within a loop followed by a loop around the reservoir, Lake suttenfield. This is a 5.5 mile hike with lots of ups and downs for a good workout. Be sure to dress in layers and bring your poles and of course water. Rain cancels.

  • Hike to Buick Meadow from Warren Richardson
This time we will go from Warren Richardson to Buick Meadow it's a little shorter then the Park Trail Loop. This one runs 7 1/2 to 8 Miles only because of the length. Polls are nice if you use them but definitely bring your water and layered clothing. Parking is $7 unless you have a park pass we will also be having lunch at one of the picnic tables along the trail. Rain cancels.

  • Exploratory hike at Bodega headlands
This is an exploratory for me as I've never done it before so I can't give you the exact mileage or elevation gain. I understand it is about 5 to 6 miles out and back. At Bodega head and go down to a beach and back.

  • Howarth Park loop around Spring Lake
Every week the route varies. We have walkers with varying paces and often the group splits into two groups as the gap widens. New walkers should be fine as long as they stay with one of the splinter groups. If you are unfamiliar with the park try walking it first with a friend. If you decide that you can't keep up with the group, let us know that you are leaving the group and will return to the parking area on your own. We often take the ridge trail which includes a moderately steep beginning and approximately 7 hills along the way. We may do this trail at the beginning or the end. There is an option to walk the regular paved path on one's own if no hills are desired.

  • 4 Mile walk at Shiloh
The 850-acre park in east Windsor has nearly 8 miles of trails for hiking, bicycle and horseback riding. Shiloh Ranch is a rugged landscape in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. The park includes oak woodlands, forests of mixed evergreens, ridges with sweeping views of the Santa Rosa Plain, canyons, rolling hills, a shaded creek, and a pond. The loop trail system allows hikers to create routes of varying lengths and intensity. We usually do a couple of long slow inclines which mixed with the downhill backside results in a 4 mile hike.
