We meet at 10 Barrel every other month for casual #thinksndrinks and chats. This is perfect for someone who wants to learn about Service Design, talk about new trends, share current projects, and ask for advice from the group. You will be able to find us at 10 Barrel because we will be the only people with print outs, worksheets, post-its and sharpies. :) We sketch. We talk. We have beer. It's a good time. Every other month when we're not at 10 Barrel, we host hands-on service blueprinting workshops. In exchange for hosting our group, we collect problem statements/ user scenarios from our hosts in advance, and lead a hands-on workshop to build service design blueprints and deliver recommendations in 2 hours. Whether you are new to service design or a seasoned professional, our goal is to grow the service design community in Portland and deliver valuable content about service design and how to use it.     Since Chris got stuck in Seattle due to the snow last month, we're running the blueprinting workshop we had planned for February in March instead. Join us! RSVPs will close by 5pm on Monday. Attendance is limited to the first 20 folks who register. Location: Context Partners 2009 NE Alberta St #201, Portland, OR 97211 Chris Machuca will be the SME this month with an exciting opportunity about Technology Coaches in K-12 public schools and their impact on teachers and our education system. This will be a hands-on, facilitated workshop. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and work in small groups to generate ideas that support service experiences at scale. All attendees will walk away with hands-on practice building a service blueprint for a real-life, pre-scoped scenario for a technology client.     WORKSHOP DATE IS TUESDAY, 2/5, AT 6PM – 8PM. We are on for tonight despite the snow! See you at 6pm! Below are some things you should know: WeWork is at the top of Pioneer Place mall off SW 5th Avenue and SW Morrison. Enter through the mall to the 3rd floor of Pioneer Place. WeWork is right above Eddie Bauer. We have an exciting opportunity this month to partner with North Highland Consulting and Larkin Street Youth to look at how we might scale an effective user journey--one that keeps transitional youth off the streets-- by generating ideas for repeatable backstage service delivery.
