The MeetUp site is where we list our club meetings and events. We meet in person on the third Wednesday of the month throughout the year at the Salem Covenant Church, 215 E Mountain St, Worcester, MA. We have a ZOOM meeting on the first Monday of the month.
We hold competitions amongst ourselves, hold outside photo excursions and events, do hands-on photography, and occasionally have speakers.
We have costs associated with running our club, Meetup usage charges, Facility usage charges, Zoom charges, NECCC dues, Speaker fees, Judging fees for our In-House competitions as well as items necessary for our Hands-On projects.
You can look at our upcoming and past events on the MeetUp site. We love meeting new people and welcome new members. We are a very open and friendly group.

If you become a member of our MeetUp group you will receive a 30 day free trial and will then be asked to pay membership dues to continue.
If you RSVP to an In-Person event and find you cannot attend we ask that you change your RSVP to NO. We do not want to wait for someone who is not coming or leave a person on the waitlist who could have attended.
Individual membership is $35.00 year Family membership is $45.00 year

What We'll Do
The competition will be run like a slideshow. The judge, Rick Berk will review images, make comments, and continue to eliminate images until we have a designated number, (a percentage of the total submitted). Ribbons will be awarded. See more about Rick in the write-up below the competition details.There will be 3 categories for this club competitions: OPEN, NATURE and MONOCHROME. If you are submitting into the Nature category, please read the NECCC guidelines for Nature Photography. Please note: there is a difference between Wildlife and Nature limitation. Only worry about the nature parameters.
PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR THE CLUB COMPETITION
Each member may submit UP TO THREE DIGITAL IMAGES TOTAL.
ONLY 2 FROM ANY ONE CATEGORY
FOR EXAMPLE: 2 FROM OPEN AND 1 FROM MONOCHROME.• DIGITAL IMAGES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY February 25.

• The digital file must have the .jpg extension.
• Please size your images so the image is no more than: 1400 pixels horizontally or 1050 pixels vertically.For example: a horizontal image should be no more than 1400 on the horizontal sides x equal to or less than 1050 on the vertical sides.
A vertical image must be no more than 1050 the horizontal sides x equal to or less than 1050 on the vertical sides.• FILE NAME:
Photographer's full name_Category_and image title.
Example. Mary Newth_Open_Lost my Marbles• It is suggested that the photographs be in the sRGB color space.

The link to Zoom will be provided on this website prior to the event.
You can log in to Zoom at 6:30. The first 1/2 hour will be our opportunity to catch up with each other, meet any new members, and to get an update on any club business. The image review and judging will start at 7pm. Remember, images are due to Jody by February 25.Our judge for this competition
Rick Berk is an experienced photographer with a passion for capturing the natural beauty of the world. He specializes in landscape, travel, and nature photography, and his work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions. Born and raised in New Jersey, Rick developed an appreciation for the great outdoors at an early age, which eventually led him to pursue a career in photography. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States in search of stunning landscapes and unique perspectives. Rick's images are characterized by their vivid colors, striking compositions, and ability to convey a sense of awe and wonder at the natural world.Prior to setting off on his own, Rick worked as a Technical Specialist for Canon USA and as a Training Manager for Lytro. Currently, Rick teaches workshops for Santa Fe Workshops and Blue Hour Photo Ventures, in addition to his work as a photographer. He resides in Bath, Maine with his wife.
ABOUT NECCC Competitions
Images from the Club competitions will be selected by the NECCC representative to go into the NECCC interclub competitions, if they meet the requirements of the NECCC and PSA. The NECCC competition will have 3 categories this year: Color, Monochrome and Nature.There will be one NECCC individual print competitions on Sat. April 6. A printmaker may enter 1 image in each category. More information, see this link.
