Cacao Ceremony & Sound Bath

Join us, as we traverse through the various gateways of the heart with the aid of the Cacao spirit, and ancient Central Mexican Indigenous wisdom. We honor this month, Xoxotl Uetzi, the month of Los Dias de Los Muertos (their days of honoring their ancestors ), and delve into Spiritual Connection and Insight.

Ancient Central Mexican indigenous peoples celebrated Los Dias de Los Muertos by making offerings of chocolate, candles, fruit, calavera (skull) shaped food and treats, music, merriment, and many kinds of festivities. The sacred beverage of choice at these calendrical feasts was, of course, cacao (cacahoatl in Nahuatl).

We start with shamanic breathwork and meditative journeying to begin to welcome the many gifts of the great spirit of the cacao, and observe ancient indigenous beliefs and meanings of this sacred month.

Once we cleansed and revitalized ourselves with shamanic breathwork and this sacred brew of cacao, everyone will be able to lie down and receive the healing vibrations from a 45 minute sound bath. The sound bath will include crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs and medicine songs providing a lush soundscape for deep meditative journeying and melodies to open the heart.

In this ceremony, you will:

• Connect with the spirit of Cacao and welcome in all of its many gifts
• Receive vibrational healing through sound baths and icaros (medicine songs)
• Engage in Ecstatic Breathing that focus on an area of the body & the benefits of working on this area of the body
